D.W. Kozera, Inc. (DWK) had the privilege of serving as the Geotechnical Engineer of Record for Under Armour’s incredible new global headquarters at Baltimore Peninsula, formerly Port Covington. This $280 million project features the iconic Teammate Building 2 (TMB2), a 280,000-square-foot structure designed to achieve LEED v4 Platinum certification and net-zero energy operations. The campus also hosts a NCAA-regulation track and field facility.

For DWK, this project presented some unique challenges. The site had complex soil conditions, including man-placed fill and alluvial deposits, which required creative approaches like auger pressure-grouted piles to support the structure. The DWK team oversaw everything from earthwork and compaction to foundation installation. This campus isn’t just about offices; it’s about transforming the area into a hub for innovation and community connection, and we’re proud to have been a part of it.
